I was invited by a very well known Industrialist to train & guide the chauffeurs of his luxury cars. I went to the designated venue a bit apprehensively as my driving skills are nothing to write home about……but, it turned out to be the most humbling experience as an Image Consultant and a trainer!
I shared with them tips on grooming, body language, etiquette and Communication specific to their role. I was their facilitator, but came back with many valuable lessons learnt.

a) Have the passion and hunger to learn something new…..the enthusiasm with which each of them heard me, asked questions, even though it had nothing to do with driving skills ….. was way above our own, ‘I know it all attitude’.
b)Implement what you learn….from the very next session, one could see that their appearance was enhanced, etiquette was put to good use and communication was relevant and precise…..the eager was to put their lessons to use was infectious and remarkable. They realized that good driving skills alone would not have been able to take them to the next level. They had to shift their paradigm and learn other skills besides knowing the engine of the car and smooth driving. How many of us are ready for the paradigm shift?
c) Last but not the least…..Have a positive attitude, because your attitude can make you or break you. If we give all the English alphabets a value number, that is A =1, B=2, C=3, D=4 and so on and we total the value of the word ‘KNOWLEDGE’ ( so, K=11, N=14, O=15 etc), it does not total up to a perfect score of 100 but if you take the word ‘ ATTITUDE’ and put a value to it in the same manner, A=1, T=20, T=20, I=9,T=20, U=21,D=4, E=5 =100. No wonder it is said that your’ Altitude is determined by your Attitude’. All my chauffeur friends, I feel Blessed to have been reminded of these simple life’s lessons by you.
